Music has an important role in the worship at St Edward's, it is chosen with the greatest of care to ensure full participation from the congregation.
We have a large choir of children and adults.New members in all parts are welcome and can participate in the Royal School of Church Music Chorister Training Scheme.
The Choir sing every Sunday and use a wide variety of music throughout the year. Practices are on Wednesday evenings - Children from 7.00 p.m. 'til 8.30 p.m., Adults 7.30 p.m. 'til 8.30 p.m., and on Sunday mornings 9.15 a.m.
Special music is prepared for major festivals and concerts. In recent years the oratorios "Greater than gold", "Jerusalem Joy" and "Saints Alive" and concerts containing pieces from classical composers to pieces from "Oliver" and "My Fair Lady" have been enjoyed by all those taking part.
